holy trinity church

Dear Friends,
As I was walking around the supermarket the other day, I was approached by two extremely charming young people who engaged me in conversation. It turned out that they were working as fundraisers for a charity, and one was training the other to do the job. They were both very effective, and I have been told how effective and charming they were by others approached by the same two young people.
At this time of year, it seems every charity is working hard to extract the money from our pockets, and it has to be said that, although they are worthwhile causes, we can’t support them all. So, we have to make decisions about who we will support. I do hope that we will all be able to do something to support causes close to our hearts.
This year at their Carol Service, St Leonard’s School will be supporting the Lochranza Oncology Ward in the Edinburgh Royal Hospital for Children and Young People, a cause very close to their hearts at this time. In order to support them and the cause, the Kirk Session has agreed that we should put a plate out in our churches for this same cause during the Christmas Season. We hope that you will feel able to give a little to support the children and young people.
And as we prepare for the great festival of Christmas let us all remember and give thanks for all that God in Christ has given to us.
With love and blessings,
Marion
