Dear friends,
May I first of all thank everyone who contributed so generously last Sunday at the Harvest Thanksgiving. We sent a large amount of food of all sorts to ‘Storehouse’ and I am sure these gifts will make a big difference to those who are in need.
For the next two weeks our administrator Helen will be on holiday so any intimations for the pew sheet should be sent to Mike Carslaw or myself. I guess the pew sheet will not look as professional as it usually does but we will do our best to keep you informed. When Helen is not here it certainly makes us realise just how much we rely on her and I am sure we would all like to wish her a very happy and relaxing holiday.
In times gone by of course, holidays were only on Holy Days and these were what the church called Days of Obligation. On them people were expected to go to church. Now of course, we recognise that everyone needs a break from their normal routine in order to refresh and re-energise themselves for the work still to come. However, it is still possible to attend worship somewhere different when you are on holiday, so wherever you go please take the greetings of Boarhills, Dunino and St Andrews Holy Trinity to whichever congregation you visit.
With love and blessings,
Marion
