holy trinity church

Dear Friends,
As I write I have just returned from showing a party of American pilgrims around Holy Trinity Church. To say they were blown away by the history and the beauty of the building would be an understatement. What is more, they were fascinated to know about the faith we proclaim, the worship we are privileged to enjoy week by week, and to experience the atmosphere that permeates the sanctuary.
We in Boarhills, Dunino and St Andrews Holy Trinity are fortunate to have two beautiful and historic buildings where worship has taken place regularly over many, many years. They are both buildings that are filled with atmosphere, both buildings that we would like to be able to share more widely with both locals and visitors alike. Holy Trinity of course, has a scheme for opening the church during the summer months, and those who take the opportunity to look after it whilst it is open all enjoy what they do. Could we sometimes open up Dunino too? After all, there are many visitors to Dunino Den who would love to see inside the church building.
But whilst our buildings are well worth experiencing, it is we ourselves that are the best advertisements for the faith that these buildings represent. And it is our enthusiasm for our faith that will bring others into our Christian fellowship on a more permanent basis. We are the living stones that make our buildings so attractive to others. So, if you feel that you could volunteer to keep the church open this summer, please don’t hold back. It is really enjoyable to share what we have with others, and who knows what new friendships might be forged and how many people might be encouraged to become part of our Christian family?
With love and blessings,
Marion
