holy trinity church

Dear friends,

I know I said that there wouldn’t be a letter for the next few weeks, but I simply had to write to say thank you for the wonderful surprise last Sunday. The cake was so unexpected and of course, so clever. And it was delicious. Thank you Wilma. And I shall treasure the card.

When I was considering my call to ministry – now more than forty years ago – I was told by a very senior minister, that ministry was the best and most important job in the world, but that it could be very demanding. What is more, the girls who I was teaching at the time, thought that I must be very brave to want to start all over again. However, I have to say that I never felt particularly brave, and although it is usually demanding, I have never regretted answering that call.

Even after all this time it still excites me on a Sunday morning to wake up and know that I will be sharing the gospel message with all of you. Thank you so much for the privilege.

Now I am busy packing – and trying to make sure that all the loose ends are tied up before I leave for Canada and Alaska. I look forward to seeing you all again when I return.

With love and blessings

Marion
