Dear Friends,
We are delighted to welcome Rev. Dr. James Walker to our pulpit today. We are also delighted to welcome our friends from Dunino to Holy Trinity. We are all one church family and it is good for us to worship together.
Today is also the day when we have to say goodbye to our choir for this academic year and we want to wish all of them a very happy summer break. We have so much appreciated all the hard work they have put into leading the music of our worship since last September and we look forward to welcoming them back for the new academic year. Only one Choral Scholar is graduating this summer, and we all want to say ‘thank you’ to Trent Francis and to wish him well wherever the future takes him. Our thoughts and prayers will be will be with you all of our choir as they go their separate ways.
Next Sunday is the Feast of Pentecost and we shall welcome Robin Bell as our organist in both churches. Many of you will know Robin and we are delighted that he is coming to play for us. Marjorie is giving an organ recital in Paisley Abbey next Sunday afternoon and I am sure this will be a very special occasion. Sadly, we can’t be there to support her but I hope to be able to persuade her to give the same recital in Holy Trinity in the near future. We also hope to be able to gather a small choir to sing an Introit and Anthem in Holy Trinity next Sunday.
