Holy Trinity Church, St. Andrews

Boarhills and Dunino and St Andrews

Holy Trinity Church of Scotland

Little Cherubs begins with a Music and Movement component. We lead children and their carers in a series of songs and rhymes using a variety of educational resources including instruments, feathers, bubbles, scarves, ribbons, parachute, etc. We then have a snack, typically crackers, a selection of fresh and dried fruit and vegetables, and milk or water for the children. There is also fresh coffee, tea, and biscuits for the adults. During snack time there is an opportunity for the children to make a craft or play with toys. We finish the session by regathering on the mat for a story and closing song. We request a small donation of £1 per child (up to a max of £2.50 for 3 or more children) in order to cover our costs. However, we do not want cost to inhibit anyone from attending and have funds set aside for those unable to cover the cost. So please come along. If you have any questions please contact Julie via email.

COVID-19 UPDATE

Little Cherubs’ sessions have resumed, but there are some changes. Please read through the important info below

BOOKING A SESSION

Due to covid restrictions, and the need to limit our numbers, we will now be running 2 Little Cherubs sessions per morning- an earlier session from 9.45-10.30 and a later session between 11.15-12noon, if you have a preference of sessions, let us know when you email to book in, and we will do our best to accommodate you. Numbers are restricted per session- on a reservation basis, you will receive an email confirmation if you have a place, please note that you should check your spam/junk folder, as sometimes our emails are filtered there. We are trying to meet demand, but we do need to follow the rules about how many can meet together, and so we do cap our sessions, we are so sorry for any disappointment this may cause, it is out of our control. We advise you to book in as early as possible if you want to secure a place. If you would like to join our mailing list, so that you are notified when we are restarting, please contact us via the Little Cherubs email address.

REGISTRATION FORMS

We now have a new & updated registration form, which must be filled in before the session. Ideally, it would be great if these could be printed and brought to the session filled out, (I will email the form to you when you book in). We appreciate that not everyone will be able to do this, so we will have hard copies available on the day for anyone who is unable to print in advance.

COVID-19 PROTOCOLS

As we are sure you will all appreciate, in order to ensure the safety of all leaders and attendees we have important protocols in place for our sessions.

·      Anyone displaying any of the symptoms of Covid-19 (High temperature/fever, cough, and/or a loss of smell/taste) or who has been in contact with anyone displaying symptoms or who has tested positive MUST NOT ATTEND. (Sorry to shout- but that is very important).

·      All adults should wear a facemask for the sessions. When I (Julie) am leading the songs, I am not required to wear a mask, but I will wear one before and after sessions.

·       When entering the building please use the sanitizer provided.

·      There will be a one-way system in place for entering and exiting the building.

·      We will adhere to a 1-meter distancing rule while inside the building.

·      Beth and I will be taking regular RLF tests as an extra measure of protection.

There is a garden space at the back of the hall, and if the weather is nice we may decide to run sessions outside! But we may have to decide that week on week.

LOCATION

We are currently meeting in the Church Halls, on Queens Terrace.

SINGING

The guidance on singing has now been updated, and since we are running the programme outdoors, adults and children can fully participate.

CRAFTS & SNACKS

At this time we will not be offering crafts or snack time. With back-to-back sessions and the restrictions in place we felt this was not feasible just now. We do hope that you can understand.

DONATIONS

While we do not charge for Little cherub’s sessions we do ask that, if you are able, you would give a donation towards our running costs. We suggest a donation of £1 per child, (for 3 or more children a total of £2.50 is enough). These donations ensure that we can keep our equipment up-to-date and provide the best sessions possible for you and your children.
